Paws In The Garden® Studio

The Garden Studio

Paws In The Garden started as a garden photo studio thirty years ago. My husband and I began with an empty field behind our suburban home. We slowly created a four-season garden as a backdrop for commercial dog photography.

Paws In The Garden has evolved into a garden studio. It has inspired me to expand from photography into art and now to a healing garden. When I trademarked the name “Paws In The Garden”, I knew one day “Pause In The Garden” would be part of the plan. That time has come.

This coming garden season, we will invite people to visit and share in the calm and beauty that have inspired me for almost three decades. Here is a bit of what you can explore if you visit Paws In The Garden Studio.

Enjoy,

Karen

Music by Greg Maroney

Greg Maroney ~ Solo Piano Music

“Sanctuary Medley” from the Album – Wind Chimes

I discovered Greg Maroney’s music many years ago. As I embarked on this new adventure, I knew Greg’s music was the perfect complement to my vision.

Garden events tentatively planned for 2024

Spiritual Garden Walk

This interactive event invites you to explore the different rooms and areas in the Paws In The Garden Studio. I encourage the attendees to come with a friend but explore on their own. You’ll find many surprises to delight your senses along the way. You’ll learn to quiet your mind as you contemplate the Divinity of Nature.

Strawberry Moon & Fruits Summer

Scheduled for June, this is an opportunity to come and create in the garden! Using watercolor pencils, you will color/paint a set of four notecards that feature the fruits of summer. There will be time to walk the garden. Attendees will enjoy a sweet treat in honor of the Strawberry Moon. It is a relaxing event to celebrate summer.

Explore the Animals of the Divine

This event will feature the animal kingdom and their spiritual meaning. This interactive event will teach you the meaning of the different animals tucked in the Paws In The Garden Studio. You’ll discover the meaning of bear, squirrel, swan, and rabbit, to name a few. What animal speaks to you? Come and find out!

Meditative Mandela Art

Join us as guest artist Mick Mastal teaches the meditative power of drawing a Mandela. This simple and creative art form has the power to quiet the mind and feed your soul. Mick has been introducing this technique for years to all different groups. You’ll be surrounded by Nature as you learn. Supplies will be provided.

Gardens & Guardian Angels

This event is a Spiritual Garden walk with a little more focus on connecting with our Guardian Angels. We’ll explore how to ask for signs that they are with you. Have you ever had an experience that you thought might be inspired by an Angel? Are they merely coincidences, or something more? We will ponder the possibilities

OPEN STUDIO

Throughout the summer, I will occasionally open up the Paws In The Garden Studio for drop-in. If we’re working in the garden or I’m painting, you can stop by and view my artwork and the Studio. This will not be an event, just a time to stop and enjoy. Open Studio will be posted a day in advance.

Event Information

Since all events are weather-dependent, they will be announced on relatively short notice. I highly recommend you sign up for my newsletter as this will be my primary way of announcing them. They will go out in a newsletter first, and if they don’t fill, I’ll post them on Facebook, Paws in The Garden Studio page. So make sure you follow my Facebook page.

The events will be approximately two hours long, and light beverages and cookies will be served. My artwork will be on display and available to purchase.  Most events will be limited to ten attendees. I will post more information on cost, location, and event time when I announce each event.
